The Falcon SE Xentor sped through the obligatory Quake 2 demo1 and showed some excellent CPU scaling at the 800x600 resolution. As we increased the resolution, the differences between the P3-450, Celeron 550 and Athlon 600 became less evident and at 1600x1200, the framerates were virtually the same. The Crusher demo is a little more CPU-dependant and it showed in the benchmarks. At 800x600, the CPU scaling is similar to demo1, but Crusher held the scaling pattern right up to 1024x768. At 1600x1200, the Crusher benchmarks were virtually the same for all CPUs. Even at the 195/235 speeds, these results show that the Falcon SE Xentor is still limited at the higher resolutions, totally independent of the CPU.
