Despite the odd minor complaint I can't help but rate The Claw very highly. Despite the buttons that are harder to press than most, it is so comfortable that when I went back to using the keyboard and WASD my fingers felt cramped since they were no longer nicely spread out and supported by the ergonomic shape of The Claw. Hardcore Quakers may well not be swayed by the merits of the device but if you've been waiting for a dedicated FPS controller that's actually useful, solid, reliable and downright sleek, this is it. It's isn't perfect, but it's well built and actually useful which is more than I can say for more other “innovative” controllers. The acid test with any controller, especially a new design like The Claw, is whether or not a reviewer ends up actually using it for general gaming, and I most certainly am. The hard buttons and lack of an obvious reverse button can take some getting used to, but after only a few days of use it feels completely natural to me, even compared to my familiar keyboard. If you're interested in an alternative FPS controller and are willing to spend a little time adjusting to it, take a seriously long and hard look at The Claw.
