The rest of Quantum3D's Voodoo2 lineup looks as follows:

  • S-12 PCI 12MB Voodoo2 PCI Card
  • S-12 AGP 12MB Voodoo2 AGP Card
  • S-12 AGP TV 12MB Voodoo2 AGP Card w/TV-Out
  • X-16 PCI TV 16MB Voodoo2 SLI PCI Card w/TV-Out
  • X-24 PCI TV 24MB Voodoo2 SLI PCI Card w/TV-Out

The "X-16" you see above is identical to the X-24 here, only it incorporates the equivalent of 2 8MB Voodoo2 cards instead of the X-24's dual 12MB Voodoo2 setup.

The complete package that makes up the X-24 contains 14 game demos (no full game versions) and a well-written instruction/installation manual. The game demo titles are listed here:

  • Forsaken
  • Turok the Dinosaur Hunter
  • GPolice
  • Formula 1
  • Shadow Master
  • ShipWreckers!
  • Wipeout XL
  • Barrage
  • Incoming
  • Need For Speed II SE
  • World Cup 98
  • Wing Commander Prophecy
  • Nuclear Strike
  • Longbow 2

The card itself is of the large full sized type (10" long), and has 24MB of EDO DRAM, Voodoo2 TMUs and daughter cards mounted all over it, front and back. It's a very impressive looking piece of hardware, similar to the $3,000+ high-end OpenGL WinNT cards like the Diamond FireGL 4000.

As far as concerns about the card fitting in a small sized case, we tested the X-24 in three different small ATX case styles, and it fit in all of them without a problem. In each of the three cases (mini-towers) the card had about 1cm of space between itself and the lower part of the 3.5" drive bay.
