Quake 2 is still the be all and end all. When all's said and done, that's what most of us end up playing over the NET. Until Half-Life springs up at us, we don't think that the aforementioned fact will ever change. Enter Dawn of Darkness, a full-on total conversion for Quake 2, which is being developed by Ward Six Entertainment Inc. Dawn of Darkness will thrust you into an industrial fantasy environment meshing tights with guns if you catch our drift? Demonic forces, magic and swords with flintlock weapons (you get the picture).
The TC will feature 11 single player maps as well as a few deathmatch maps. Backed up by a fully choreographed story with cut-scenes between levels, the single player mode promises to be in tact though. Other new features will include, seven new weapons, new power-ups and of course a host of new enemies. Dawn of Darkness is being touted for a December 1998 release and will be published by Interactive Associates, Ltd being available both in retail and directly off of the Internet.
