There are thirteen champion skaters to play against and each presents their own style, meaning some are easier to beat or play as than others. You can even unlock hidden characters, like the Amazing Spider-Man, if you want to really show off your mad skills.
Music is provided by well-known bands like Public Enemy teamed with Anthrax for Bring the Noise and a few others that I'm sure my nephew would recognize in a New York minute. The music never distracts, in fact it helps you get into the zone and play the game with the instinct and attitude needed to succeed.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 is still best played on a powerful console, such as the Dreamcast, but for players who are curious, have patience and attitude, it's a hell of a good time on the PC. Just beware, you're not buying some casual action game you can pick up and drop at will. Tony demands your skills and he won't let go until he has them.
