But the best thing about Serious Sam is it's extremely friendly multiplayer component, the best of them being the generous co-op mode. You and a few friends can blast through the entire game teamed against the AI and it's nice to team up for a change. Plus, you think there are a lot of enemies in single player, multiplayer multiplies them exponentially.
The one disappointment is that this isn't the game Croteam promised us on their website. As originally conceived, the game was going to be about 4-5 times larger than it is now. With worlds ranging from cybernetic to underground, on top of the Egyptian theme. As it stands this is about a third of the total game, just the Egyptian portion, but the price is down to $20 or so to reflect that. Still, it is disappointing that the game is maybe 5-10 hours long, shorter on the easier difficulty modes, and that there isn't more variety. I guess the upside to that is there's a bit more Sam to look forward to in the future.
