If you want to dish out a good kicking to a few people without having to explain it to the law afterwards, Oni's what you want. The close combat action is so well done and entertaining that it's almost possible to ignore the game's other numerous flaws. Almost. As long as you're not looking for much more from Oni than a bit of 3d fighting action then that you'll be happier than a mouse in a cheese shop. Sadly, that's just about all it offers and the terrible console style save system often gets in the way of you enjoying the combat at all. If it weren't for the excellent combat system I'd consider the game a wasted opportunity. As it is, it's uncomfortably close to deserving such a criticism.
