The level designs are moderately interesting and varied, but difficult as all hell! You save and reload constantly, which wouldn't be so bad if the load/save interface weren't so kludgy and it didn't take so long to load up a game. In the end, even when you're doing the exact same things in different environments with different layouts, while saving and reloading every thirty seconds, you just get bored. You jump a gap, slash down a robot, hit a button to open another path, jump a gap, slash down a robot, save, die, reload…and so on ad nauseum. The game is way too difficult and broken up to be truly fun.

The control in Phantom Menace is sadly mediocre. It is difficult to aim your weapons. You seem to have tremendous difficulty blocking a laser blast and sending it back to your foe. They always make it look so easy in the movies! The lightsaber's usefulness is cut severely and therefore combat is much much more difficult than it should be. And why aren't there separate buttons to dive left and right? You have to hit two buttons to dive to the side, which makes the control much more difficult to use and means you get hit a lot more than you would otherwise. You really need excellent control in kinetic puzzle games. Otherwise you're setting yourself up for a fall, often quite literally throughout the game.
