All right there folks? Hope you're enjoying the new look/feel of Sharky Games, which we just launched. If not tell us why on the forums (plug plug woof woof!) but in the meantime we've got something to rattle your chain a bit. How about two Deus Ex reviews? Yes that's right, not one but two… Call it an "Ever-so-mini Deus Ex Conundrum-day" if you like.

Those of you that are regular and frequent flyers here might remember that we published two reviews of Ion Storm's Daikatana. I think most of you can agree that until now (and Deus Ex), Daikatana was Ion Storm's greatest PC game ever released behind schedule! Love it or hate it, you can't argue with that. No sir. Remember, Dominion Storm was the only other PC game released by Ion Storm and on time no less. But today is all about Deus Ex and so how did John's army fare this time around, with less money and time to spend? Daikatana got so much attention for being something other than good that we felt it fitting to give Deus Ex the same microscopic treatment.

Both reviews warrant your attention because they're very different reviews by two very different authors with very different outlooks on life, beer, cuisine, love and war. The only thing they've ever shared in common was an unhealthy dislike for Ion Storm's other game beginning with D. One lives in the good 'ol US of A (that would be Andrew, our Beatdown columnist) and the other is our games editor Pete, a half-Limey-come again- Aussie (he lives in my country but came from the land of Oz originally). Both have been brought up on different foods (burgers & tex mex vs. fish & chips and beans), beverages (crap diet beer vs. looverly lager lager!) and education and hence they've obviously got contradictory perspectives on PC games. All clear on that? So should you buy Deus Ex then or should you not? After buying Daikatana are you an N64 convert or did you take up S&M? In any case be sure to scope both reviews not only because it's free and you can but we've all spent lot's of time and money (literally millions) on this and we're bloody late too.
