The hitch is that these units are not simply produced like most tanks and vehicles, but assembled in a process that requires a few steps. The pilots are raised from Cryofarms, and then each component of the bot, from the torso to the legs and arms, needs to be built in the parts factory. The final metallic warrior is not finished yet; the parts are instead moved to an assembly platform, which is necessary to build the big Combots, as scaffold like equipment is required to assemble the upright unit. Visually this is displayed much like the Statue of Liberty when covered in scaffolding to be repaired, or much like the gyroscope type of apparatus that Jodi Foster used in the movie Contact. Assembly of these units requires extra steps, and a lot of expenditure of metajoules, the game's primary resource. Metajoules are harvested by the various powers, and the advantage to this is custom assembly.

It is hard to say which power has the strongest advantage when it comes to the weapons on the Combots as each is fairly equally matched with their different parts. The RimTech CorpoNation looks like it was inspired by the Japanese Samurai with its Katana arm, while the Milagro party has an intimidating Axe arm that everyone would run away from in fear if they were not hell bent on succeeding in the mission. However it is the Neuropa CorpoNation that seems the most technologically advanced with their Electro grip arm that generates a current of electricity to create its path of destruction. Of course the game begins with each of these great factions, lead by rival brothers, amidst a deadly balance of power - successful players need to tilt the balance as best as possible and the use of ComBots is a key to shifting the power.
