With traces of RPGs, there will also be a bunch of different objects to gather throughout the game and as you're multifaceted crew can't be expected to have use of them all in the same way, it gives rise to a wide variety of strategic possibilities. For example, would your Knight be familiar with a hand held laser? And as you're limited by a point system in how many or how powerful your companions may be, it adds another bit of depth in terms of strategy. Should you go with a few good swordsmen or a powerful beast... hmm? As the battles play in true RTS fashion you of course also have that strategic bit to think about, loyal RTS players know how important it is to exploit the weaknesses of your enemy while using your own strengths in each individual unit.
Graphically Good and Evil might not be the most gorgeous looking title of all time but nevertheless it comes fully equipped with a powerful 3D engine capable of putting you right smack in the middle of a rather detailed 3D world. While we won't bore you with any technical buzz worlds, we can tell you it does have the necessary means to realize the visual fabric Ron Gilbert wants us to experience without being to demanding in terms of minimal system specs.
Good and Evil is still WAY off but knowing Ron Gilbert's roots, he's sense of humor and just drooling over how great this title looks on paper we can tell you that at least we will be waiting for this one.
