Microsoft's third entry into the Close Combat series is an ambitious foray into the real-time strategy genre. Developed by Atomic Games, Close Combat III spans across four years of the most brutal fighting of World War II: the Eastern Front. Players can command a number of Russian or German units throughout Eastern Europe in an attempt to relive or rewrite history.
Players will also be able to battle one another on Microsoft's Zone online gaming community. Close Combat III will be available at the end of January 1999. In the meantime however, enjoy these screenshots.
