Real-time strategy novices, may be pleased to hear that an intuitive 'in-game tips' system is being implemented within RoboRumble's gameplay, which suggests options and maneuvers for players. At the very least it should help ease the learning curve for gamers that aren't experts. There will also be four levels of difficulty in order to cater for the most skillful gamer- so don't worry veterans. And last but no means least, mulitplayer support will be implemented for head-to-head play via modem or for up to four players across a LAN or on the NET.
It'll be interesting to see how real-time Strategy fans are going to take to 'the world of 3D', but so long as the gameplay remains very much in tact then we doubt that it will cause anything other than smiles. Watch out for a Q4 1998 release from Interactive Magic.
- It's trying to blend a hardcore real-time strategy game with a 3D engine.
- It's got oodles of weapons and power ups and big explosions. 'nuff said.
- Even in the future the UN still can't solve the Earth's troubles.
- Ever heard of Polish Developers, Metropolis House Software? Not exactly Westwood eh?
- Let's hope that they don't go 3D 'crazy' and neglect the already successful real-time strategy formula.
- The name doesn't rumble our pants and won't win any originality contests.
