The US just can't get enough of us limeys eh? Just in case it wasn't enough that I moved my jolly little self 5500 miles across the Atlantic, UK based Gremlin Interactive has decided to follow suit and start operations just down the road from me in Beverly Hills LA. And although having moved to LA I'm left missing good 'ol Blighty (slang for England), there are of course several personal gains that I can indulge myself on due to my newfound neighbors. These include being able to talk in my funny English accent to people who talk back to me in the same funny accent, or being able to share an obscure alcoholic beverage with people that share the same taste in obscure European alcoholic beverages. More importantly for you folks though, is the fact that Gremlin's wish to expand to the US should help temper your most ardent of 3D accelerated desires via a fistful of 3D accelerated PC games.

Alas, "Who the heck are Gremlin Interactive anyway?" you might bleat, but cast any thoughts of doll-sized Gizmo's (the fur ball character from the Gremlins movie) and friends aside because Gremlin Interactive are indeed one of the UK's finest and proudest Games Development and Publishing House's. In fact they've been around for yonks- they started around the same time that Tiffany kicked off her pop career way back in 1985. Where as Gremlin Interactive grew from strength to strength on the C64, Atari ST and the Amiga 500 platforms, Tiffany fell through hers and drowned somewhere immersed in one of her horrid 1980s knitted Christmas jumpers. So you can see it's no mean feat- Gremlin Interactive survived and indeed thrived throughout the 80s and have now blossomed into a global operation in the 90s employing some 300 people. With the talented DMA Design team at the core, Gremlin has a strong creative presence in the games industry and in particular leading the way in 3D and Motion Capture.
