Another integral part of the game will be keeping your solar powered Moth in the air as you fight over the lightwells that fuel it. The game will take place in a real-time environment with day/night cycles, which will also affect the performance of your solar-power dependant Moth. And if your Moth doesn't satisfy your travel needs then you can always nip out and take the monorail as well. Let's hope it works a tad better than the New York subway...

HardWar will be consolidated with a spellbinding and immersive 3D environment allowing you explore the surface and enter buildings. With a 3D card capable of 32-bit Z buffering and bilinear filtering, HardWar will provide extra trimmings such as, real-time shadows, lighting and fogging effects. Hardcore- you know the score.

Backed up with support for eight-player LAN play, HardWar looks to be going some distance to becoming and indeed joining the 'Elite' of 1998. As ever Gremlin Interactive are not exactly shy of going ahead and supporting new industry standards such as DVD and as Paul Trowe of Gremlin Interactive stated, "Since expected sales are so high, we're making Hardwar a CD-ROM and DVD product as well. I am not sure about retail, but I know our OEM customers will love bundling it with their new drives...it's the perfect DVD-ROM game." So all that's left to say is, hang on tight for Interplay who will publish the title in Q3 '98.
