The follow up to the successful Jedi Knight, Obi-Wan is an action adventure following the exploits of a young Obi-Wan Kenobi. LucasArts can be counted on for great graphics and gameplay, and they've enhanced the Jedi Knight engine to support a number of groundbreaking tactics of first and third person action. The two most interesting are the interface to the light saber, and the new movement modes.
The light saber slaves to the mouse, which allows players to quickly swing it in different directions, the same way they use it in most FPS games for looking and direction. You won't have to worry much about aiming, because the saber is Obi-Wan's only weapon other than the Force, already seen in Jedi Knight. But Obi-Wan looks like it's more about third person perspectives, because it's more fun to watch as your character deflects laser bolts or dashes into swordfights. Obi-Wan also introduces lots of acrobatics, and your character can perform jumps and flips, introducing Street Fighter-type elements to PC action genre. Obi-Wan plans to keep players happy this Fall with twelve solo levels and a variety of multiplayer games.
