The look of the game is dark and a little gritty. Though the title clearly takes place on an alien world, the stadium has the stonework of a medieval castle with flags and other ornamentation of the time, including traps such as a series of pikes and shooting flames.

The vehicles don't seem too out of place with the game, but clash just a bit with the stonework as the cars are modeled like a military jeep with a mounted gun turret and look like they are constructed from steel plates. However, since Gorkamorka tells a story about a civilization on a doomed planet, and resources being tight, the styles of the architecture and the vehicles do not seem out of place for the game or the Gorkamorka universe.

While the game is still in an early stage, it is looking like it will be a fun title that is easy to get into. The races are quick and can be played for just a few minutes at a time or for more extended periods. Though there was only one race location in this build, the concept art provided showed additional tracks making the game more enjoyable than going around the same circle over and over like the track I played on.

Due out in November, Gorkamorka will not be as serious a title as some of those in the Warhammer series, but should prove no less enjoyable. Anyone who already plays Games Workshop's Gorkamorka will certainly enjoy the title, as will other gamers looking for an unusual racing sim that they can play alone or with a group of people. The team element is fairly unique with two people operating the same vehicle, though I am sure that other titles with the same feature will not be far behind Ripcord's lead.
