Pyro's Commandos received both cheers and jeers when it debuted. The RTS is different from other games in blending real-time, puzzle solving, and a WWII setting. The graphics are great, and when you could figure out what to do, the fun factor is high. But the interface left something to be desired, and success in the missions required a precision the interface could not always deliver.
Guess what? Pyro wants to make Commandos 2 even harder. All they have to do to succeed with that goal is keep the same interface, but we're hoping their claims of an improved AI will ring true. Other changes will help too. Now the commandos can do common actions and share items; you won't have a situation where only certain commandos can fire a machine gun, for example, though each commando will still have specialties they perform best. You'll also get more help from the new commandos that join the ranks, including a thief, a seductress, and a dog. As you'd expect, there will be graphical improvements with a view that can rotate and support for multiple resolutions.
