In an effort to stop the horrific spread of the hoof and mouth disease in Great Britain (not to be confused with the "foot in mouth" disease, also known as Derek Smartitis) gamers everywhere are being asked to do their part. According to the Minister of Gaming in England gamers can do a couple things to help. Those with a copy of the inventive little game Sheep can help by letting their sheep blunder into deathtraps. Instead of guiding your sheep safely through the game's many fun levels you are to simply let them die, consider the game a screensaver. Also, villagers in Age of Empires 2 are advised not to kill and use sheep for food in the game. Deer are also suspect, so stick to farming and collecting berries instead. Even if that means staying in the Feudal Age just a little longer than you would like.

Much to the surprise of the remnants of the once mighty and respected Origin software, EA euthanized the nascent Ultima Online 2- Origins. The non-Garriott developed, Todd McFarlane messed with, online MMORPG sequel is now dead leaving 240,000 UO fans to live in their rapidly aging world and some 350,000 EQ fans to laugh at them. There was no comment from the 50 or so Asheron's Call fans. Yes folks, UO2 died with its fairy Ren Faire boots on.

Hot off their recent success with Clive Barker's Undying DreamWorks Interactive, a subsidiary of EA, reported that it's hard at work on a sequel to the famed Trespasser: Jurassic Park. "The game will feature a completely realistic, yet totally frictionless, physics system and the arm/crane interface you loved from the first game," claimed project lead Shawn J. Strand. "Artists are already hard at work at 'dinosaur crippling' artificial intelligence, extensive crate modeling and a massive reworking Minnie Driver's breasts for today's Ge-Force III technology."

Stewart Copeland of the Police has committed to penning the score for the upcoming new version of Alone in the Dark. Copeland is best known for jumping around like an idiot in early Police videos and has scored such films as Wall Street, Rumble Fish and Talk Radio.
