They Break the News, I Break it Again!

June is busting out all over and I mean that in a good (non-sexual) way. The gaming avalanche has begun, time to reap the rewards. This week we've got Super-heroics, the Lord of Terror, fun for Quakers and a few shame-faced retractions from yours truly.

It was announced recently that 13 game companies, all members of the ISDA (Internet Digital Software Association), have teamed up to form their own Superteam. Activision, Capcom, Eidos, EA, Sierra, Hasbro, LucasArts, Interplay, Midway, Nintendo, Sony, The 3DO Company and the high-flying Hawkman will comprise the new team, dubbed the "Revengers."

Badass

This intrepid super group plans to use their powers in concert by sending their super-powered lawyers to each of the six evil Warez sites to do battle. Hawkman intends to fly around a lot and squawk a lot. The lawyers claim that these pirate Warez sites are a blight on the gaming landscape and plan to sue for $150,000 per copyrighted game they offer. Speaking realistically they hope to get some spare change, computer equipment and empty pizza boxes that are worth $150,000 per available game.
