Democrats Accused of using Cigarettes to Bribe Homeless People to Vote: An even bigger scandal is the Republicans using old copies of Daikatana to bribe gamers to vote. I mean, that's why Gore won the popular vote, you know.

Florida Ballot too Confusing?: 19,000 voters report that they may've voted for Diablo by mistake.

France calls the US Election a “Banana Republic Farce”: Beatdown wants to correct France and remind them that PopTop Software's upcoming Tropico game is the only real banana republic farce going.

Prognostication Record: 6-4

Happily, I was wrong about Monday Night Football last week. I was right about the wind, I was right about the rain, I was right about the inability to kick a field goal, I was right about it being perfect football weather, I was wrong about the outcome. Saint Lombardi looked down and smiled, bestowing upon the Pack the glory of a thrilling underhanded pass from Favre to Freeman. The botched snap on the game winning field goal from the Vikings with 16 seconds left. And, finally, that much-more-than-immaculate-reception that won the game, in over-time no less! How often do you see a ball almost get intercepted then bounce on the thigh of the prostrate receiver (Antonio Freeman, spin in the air and get caught – in the rain – by his fingertips – and then see him get up and run it into the endzone unopposed!

As for this week's game… it will be a brutally cold, windy and snowy night at Mile High Stadium. The Raiders (me) faced the Broncos replete with a newly healed Terrell Davis. Gannon and crew will put up a valiant fight until the end. Terrell will run for 153 yards on 20 carries and score three times. The final score will be 28-7 in favor of Denver. (Hey, I went for it on 4th and 15 on my own 5 with 20 seconds to go. That's the football equivalent of pulling your goalie!)
