They Break the News, I Break it Again!

Spring is here and the industry continues to heat up as we approach the madness known as E3. Lots of news to report but nothing so interesting as the fact that a certain anticipated demo has hit the Net. Yes folks, you can now download a playable version of the hotly anticipated Hunt For The Red Baron flight sim. Betcha can't wait, huh?

At 5AM on April 22nd 2000 INS Agents Stormed the Ion Storm offices in Dallas Texas and seized little Johnny Romero from the arms of the Ion Storm relatives that had been holding him for the past four years. He was then bundled into a minivan and taken across town to be reunited with his mentor and father John Carmack at the nearby ID Software building.

It was an emotional scene the next day as photos of Romero and Carmack playing on the couch were interspersed with footage of Ion Storm representative Stevie "Killcreek" Case tearfully demanding to see the boy. Some say Janet Reno (of Harry and the "Hendersons" fame) decided to use force to "rescue" the boy after viewing the televised video of Romero sitting on his bed, chastising Carmack, repeating that he didn't want to go to Cuba, and vowing to "make everyone his bitch".

Since these events transpired, sporadic rioting has occurred in our nation's cities. As anti-ID Nationals overturned dumpsters and lamented the recently released Daikatana demo.

Hell froze over and Ion Storm completed Daikatana. It has officially Gone Gold and will be released in stores soon. This is not a drill, this is serious. All of you who bought the Prima Daikatana strategy book, you now have a game to go with it. All of you who pre-ordered from EB, you'll actually get a game for your money. Hell has frozen over. Most importantly this means the Killcreek issue of Playboy will come out soon, so all of you drooling over the prospect of seeing enhanced, bionic, air-brushed, actual gamer-breasts won't have too much longer to wait. It is unknown when the Paul Steed issue of Playboy will be released however.
