Quake III on the Dreamcast? Fine, but stay away from my readers and me! Plus, we've got some interesting wargame news, dire info about the game business, releases and golds, MNF and we learn that it's all about the spice. Also, my wife and child are all better now, thanks to all those who wrote in.

Game Quote of the Week: “The price of flesh is obsession, Minsc. I've been obsessed, smitten, bewildered, and taken by many things, but the rodent in my pants doesn't squeak when I touch it.”
~Edwin the Conjurer, Baldur's Gate II

The Dreamcast version of Quake III: Arena was finally released this past week, allowing Dreamcast fans to log on to Sega.Net and play online for the first time ever. The game features brand new levels, Capture the Flag, 1-1 Tourney, Team Deathmatch, 4-player split screen and what will probably come to be known as “horrific humiliating death.”

“Horrific humiliating death” mode will likely come when PC Quake III fans log on to challenge Sega controller wielding newbies. Yes, according to the press release PC owners will be able to log onto Sega.Net themselves to challenge these new players. Lets face it, PC Quakers will totally and completely destroy them. Sega gamepad versus a mouse? Are you kidding me? Console fans, it's time to go to school and I can hear the weeping now.
