Milosovic Ousted?: At the time of this writing tyrant Slobodan Milosovic is holed up in a bunker with Eva Braun or something while his country is howling for his blood. I'm hoping it'll be resolved by the time this article sees print. If not, I say it's time to send in John Mullins to take care of business (Soldier of Fortune).

The Gore and Bush Debate: Bush is a 3Dfx fan (“FSAA for the USA!”) and Gore likes Nvidia, just like his former boss, president Clinton (“GeForce has the hot T&L I like so much”).

The Leiberman and Cheney Debate: Leiberman claimed: “Video Games are bad, evil and wrong!” Cheney replied: “What is this ‘video game,' exactly?”

In the “That's not news” category we have official notice that Babylon 5: Into the Fire has been finally and irrevocably canceled. This came as a surprise to everyone but the plucky (and very optimistic) design team who've been working at it about 1.5 years after Sierra canceled it during one of their massive purges (er… reorganizations).

What makes this story different than that one? Well, aside from the fact that people were still working on Babylon 5 despite the lack of promotional support (makes you wonder about Prey, Star Trek: First Contact, Vulcan Fury and Warcraft III, doesn't it?) Sector 14 was still plugging away at the game. The news now is that Havas/Sierra greedily won't give up the license and Sector 14 can't get it from its original owners. Yay Havas/Sierra! Another reason to love the French! (Seriously though, them holding onto the license could mean they want to use it soon. Stay tuned.)

What this means is we won't see that Babylon 5 space combat sim you eternally hopeful Straczynski fans have been clamoring for. But it also means we probably will see the space combat sim Sector 14 has been working on… just without any Minbari or horrifically bad haircuts.
