“Isn't anyone playing Nox anymore? Sigh.” ~Hecubah, Nox
“(It's) obviously exceeded its heritage and surged to the vanguard of goonery” ~Edwin the Conjurer, Baldur's Gate II
“Baldur's Gate II has been released only a few months after Icewind Dale, so it'll be interesting to see how well BGII does commercially compared to IWD and the original Baldur's Gate.” ~Desslock, Desslock's RPG News

Let's see… Baldur's Gate, Tales of the Sword Coast, Planescape Torment, Icewind Dale, Shadows of Amn, Heart of Winter… er, what was that last one again? Proving that BioWare didn't call it the Infinity engine for nothing, Black Isle announced yet another Baldur's Gate-style product that is going to hit stores soon. Icewind Dale: Heart of Winter, an expansion to the well-received Icewind Dale RPG.
Heart of Winter will let you continue your IWD characters adventures. Fight nasties like Polar Worms (Remorhaz if you're nasty), new Giants and even worse beasts. Resolutions up to and beyond 800x600 and most of the advances BioWare crammed into Baldur's Gate II.
John Romero's infamous Daikatana game was patched to version 1.02 despite the fact that Stevie Case is the only person on Earth really playing it (and even then she's actually playing a lot more of that Serious Sam test than Big John's D). This new version fixes a bunch of other broken things in the unfinished game.
In related news the exact translation of the Daikatana symbol has been figured out by smarty-pants scientists.
