Indianapolis' Governor took a brave stand and passed a law making it illegal for Indiana's arcades to allow children to play violent coin-ops. Now(and this isn't a joke) all violent games must be no closer than 10 feet to non-violent games (are there any non-violent games?) and violent games must be separated from minors by a wall or a curtain. Arcades who ignore the law risk a monthly fine from the state. Naturally it is expected that all violent crime will cease to exist in the great state of Indiana within weeks of the implementation of this noble law.

Russian developer Snowball Interactive made two announcements this past week.

1). They announced a new adventure/RPG called "Fatherdale: The Guardians of Asgard" is being developed. Fatherdale will focus on Norse heroes and artifacts and let players control these immortals in an effort to save the world. The game will take place in the 9th century AD in Scandinavia.

2). Then they announced that their moderately anticipated Elric of Melnibone adventure/RPG Stormbringer was effectively kaput due to a lack of interest from publishers and investors. Which is a pity because Moorcock's worlds and characters would translate almost perfectly to the digital realm.
