According to several sources, Eidos Interactive, the little company that became a giant primarily due to Lara Croft, her pistols and her flotation devices, is looking around for a buyer to save them from financial peril. Things are tough all over but with the sucking financial wound that is Ion Storm (face it folks, Deus Ex isn't going to sell that well) is likely a major cause. This is not to downplay financial disasters like Braveheart, Omikron and Abomination. The good news is they should have less of a problem finding a buyer due to a strong upcoming line-up.

1. The Sims -EA
Why the Sims? Well, people like messing around with other people's lives. Yes, people like modeling their boring lives on their PC's... or maybe people just like making female roommates kiss and cuddle each other? Admit it, you know who you are.

2. Who wants to be a Millionaire 2nd Edition -Disney
Why 2nd edition? Because the first one left so many unanswered questions.

3. Roller Coaster Tycoon -Hasbro
Why Roller Coaster Tycoon? It's substance over style, people. Anyone can play it, anyone can enjoy it; even hardcore cynics like me. Plus, vomit plays a large role in the proceedings, and everybody likes that.

4. Who Wants to be a Millionaire -Disney
Why WWTBAM? Because of the personal magnetism of Regis Philbin and the power of the evil subliminal messages shown during the TV show.

5. EverQuest: Ruins of Kunark -Sony
Why an EverQuest add-on? People actually believe other players really look like that blond cheerleader elf-chick on the box. Hint: they don't, they actually look a lot like Levelord.

Scary people play Everquest............She doesn't
