Elite Force was presented like a single Voyager episode and, fittingly but also to its detriment, it almost felt like it lasted as long as your average Star Trek episode too, which is pretty short when you consider the size of some other games out there. Although the levels were very well designed and the weapons entertainingly original, the single player experience was just over so quickly that I was expecting some alien entity to pop up and say “only kidding, here's the other half of the game.” It's still a recommended title, especially for Star Trek fans as it's one of those rare Star Trek titles that's actually rather good, but if you want to get your money's worth out if it you'd better intend to get some online play in too (although thankfully multiplayer is just as fun as the single player section and has the potential to last a lot longer).

  • Lovely levels
  • The weapons make a nice change from shotguns and rocket launchers
  • Has the usual Raven brand of polish applied
  • Multiplayer is surprisingly entertaining

  • It doesn't take long to complete at all
