SharkyExtreme: What about the character in the game you play? How many characters can you choose from, and can you customize them at all?
Andy Kieran: You don't choose an individual character, instead you choose from a variety of "gangs" of Orks comprised of a Driver, Gunner and Mekboy. You can upgrade your Driver, Gunner or Mekboy at any time by spending some of your hard earned cash. Upgrading the Orks improves their performance in all aspects of their given task.
SharkyExtreme: What are some of the unique weapons we'll get to use in GorkaMorka?
Andy Kieran: We have a variety of weapons in the game including the scorcha which is a nasty flamethrower with a short range, the 'eavy shoota loud and reliable slugthrower, and my favorite; the stikk bomb launcher, which is basically a catapult for crude explosives.
SharkyExtreme: When you are in combat, is there any sense of hit location or damage? For example could you aim to hit or to remove a specific part of another vehicle?
Andy Kieran: Yes! We use a component damage system for all of the vehicles and their armor so that you can choose to concentrate your fire on one location to try and cripple or disable your opponents much faster than spreading the damage around their vehicle would. Good drivers will have to evade opponents who try and stick to a single component when shooting as well so there is gameplay on both sides.
SharkyExtreme: Do your goals in the game change from single to multiplayer?
Andy Kieran: No, the goals will remain the same.
SharkyExtreme: Can you tell us a bit about the multiplayer aspect of the game?
Andy Kieran Multiplayer allows you to race one-off races against friends or to actually engage in the campaign mode and try and beat human opponents instead of computer AI in the Pits and tracks of Mektown.
