Above all else, though, Accolade is focusing on hammering out all the details of Slave Zero's intricate storyline and perfecting the game play techniques of the game. We pointed out the evils of the majority of today's games, specifically criticizing their repetitive play mechanics, non-existent subplots and mundane completion criteria, to which Accolade concurred. "Each of our objectives is part of the overall storyline", explains Powers, "Typical missions include blowing up the generators powering the communications array, escorting the rebel fleet through the sewer system to safety, getting to the space dock and destroying the enemy space cruiser and assisting the rebel force in stealing the Slave embryo containers".
Players will only have on Slave available to them to complete the game's missions, however Powers promises a multiplayer experience which sheds the confines of being limited to a single mech. "In the multiplayer game the player will be able to choose between a couple different Slaves - Slave Zero and a couple of the enemy Slaves", says Powers, "Each enemy Slave type varies in appearance and can have different weapons. These enemy Slaves will also be available to the player in a multiplayer game".
Accolade hasn't been in the limelight lately, but if Slave Zero offers any indication of their new and improved lineup, then look for them to be under the spotlight again in no time. Slave Zero will be available this spring.
