You'd think that a company whose name is synonymous with "praise" would have more titles worthy of such. That's the perception. The reality on the other hand, is that San Jose based Accolade has experienced what would best be described as a decade-long drought of quality games.
Browse the shelves of most retail stores and you'll notice that seven of the eight currently available Accolade titles are some sort of sequel, rehash and/or annual update… not exactly indicative of being on the cutting edge of innovation.
However, Accolade had a change of heart last year. In a press release detailing plans for their 1999 schedule, Accolade issued a clear statement: They'll be focusing more on the weight of each game, instead of depending on the sheer quantity of titles produced.
One such game that Accolade hopes will exemplify their newfound image is Slave Zero, their own interpretation of a 3D giant-robot-action game.
