For the single player game Ackrich went on to say, "Redline will be split in a 60%-40% favor of driving." Obviously there will be multiple routes/paths to take when completing any of the 12 missions across five arenas in single player mode but if you're going to succeed you'll need to master the rules of the road in vehicles. Running around on foot might seem easier at first but you soon learn a tough lesson when a car mows you down. A lesson that I learnt only too well during Deathmatch.

Being brave and jumping over cars, whilst trying to collect a few frags is NOT the smart way to play multiplayer Redline. Unless you happen to be perched somewhere safe (for sniping), the best thing you can do is find an unused car or better still, shoot an EPM projectile at an 'occupied' car. Using the EPM to jettison the player out of the car sets up a unique and rather sick opportunity. Since the EPM has a secondary feature, which blinds the other player that you've just 'ejected' from the car, you can hop into his vehicle and then proceed to run him over. Yes, Redline is downright dirty. There's no sense in being brave…

With support for 16 players over LAN and Internet play via Mplayer and everyone's favorite, Gamespy, the game's longevity will certainly be most apparent in multiplayer modes. The usual array of skins and different characters can be chopped and changed to suit your own preference. I picked a mutant looking Pinhead (from Hellraiser) type character, who for some reason only wore a pair of underpants (Y-fronts no less)
