How do I kill it? I've already destroyed those three crystals on the wall. Now what? He keeps teleporting me to other areas and I have to fight my way back to get to him again. What's the best strategy for killing it amd how long will it take?

Boost yourself up onto the platform thats way up there using those blow-hole kind of things....there will be another one on the platform...use that one to jump above the guys head and there is like a gem inside of his head....if you don't see it, keep shooting his head until it cracks open. destroy the gem and he's done for

yes. this can get very hard. one little trick is to land on his head when its closed and you will clip through. now go crazy with a crowbar.

It took me a while to figure out how to kill that big mutant baby freak. I did the jump on his head bit described above. Almost makes me want to play it again.

WARNING! MAJOR SPOILER COMING UP! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . You play a scientist involved in top secret government experiments on alien substances, but you don't know that they are alien at the time. There is an accident, and one of your experiments open a bunch of gates between earth and the alien world, allowing hoards of aliens to come through, and the base it severly damaged. The government doesn't want the world to know what it was doing down there (the base is almost totally undergroud), so the send in the military to eliminate everyone and everything involved.By the end of the game, you find out that the only way to stop the onslaught of aliens is to go to the alien world yourself and destroy the alien leader. The story is the best and most coherant of any FPS I've ever played. It was very well thought out and you find out things in bits and pieces from characters throughout the game. There are a lot more details than I've listed, but it's a good general overview.

Sorry for taking so long.SPOILER . . . . . . . . . . During the game there is this spooky man wearing a blue suit carrying a briefcase. You can see him observing you at some point in almost every level of the game, and it's pretty obvious that he's with the government. After you beat the big thing at the end of the game, the screen fades, then you teleport into a train car like the one you start the game in, but this one is floating through a void. He gives you a choice. Either go to work for the government, or get placed into a no win situation. If you choose the government, the screen fades and you get the endgame music. If you don't, you get teleported into the middle of a room packed full of different kinds of aliens and are basically ripped limb from limb. It never says so, but I got the impression that the whole thing was a test somehow, like G-man had something to do with the whole thing, because he was there from the beginning. You can even see him watching you during the intro sequence. It was one of the most incomplete game endings in history. Like FF7, it left more questions than answers, but at least Half Life should have a sequel to answer some of the questions.

If you think that's a gripping storyline, try Deus Ex.... Lots more choices about your fate, and a very thick plot. Your actions and choices affect later events. Plus lots to shoot at...

Hey2 now, what about Deus EX? I think the game looks crap but if it has a nice gameplay I might try it now. I played some and find that the firepower left much to be desired... any tips I can get?

That ending was complete crap. Especially after figuring out how to beat that ugly fat-headed alien baby.

You dont have to land on the platforms to kill him, just find the blowhole that launches you almost all the way to the top of the screen and as you are going up just unload with grenades and anything you have on his open cranium. If you start falling just make sure to land in the water and you wont die. Amazing how 2 feet of water can break your fall.
