TF2 will kick ass but i am looking forward to tribes 2, just not so much.

I think they both will do good. Sense you will be able to play Tribes 2 for at least a year before TF2 comes out then I don't think it's much of a comparion.

I'll own both - I'm more familiar with TFC but I'm open to somthing new with Tribes 2

Tribes because of the jetpacks.

Tribes 2 Is going to kick TF2 right in the butt. Especialy since TF2 will never come out. Tribes 2 is going to be out next month :P

I will definitley own both as well, they are 2 different concepts, one is more fictional while the other is nonfictional. Sure they are both FPS's and teambased but i may feel like playin something down to earth and lifelike (TFC2) and then i may feel like playing something Unrealistic and imaginitive (tribes2) well than again if you can still rocket jump across the map or launch someone with a sniper rifle in TFC2 it may not be that nonfictional, but still fun.

I think that the better question will be- which game will be better, Counter Strike or TF2? I hope that TF2 kicks ass, but I also hope that it doesn't make Counter Strike "a classic" or obsolete. I think you know what I mean.

I'm going with Tribes 2.

I loved the mortar fire in Tribes 1.

TF2 all the way. It want this game so badly, I really want it.

I should add that I haven't played the first Tribes, so I'm not familiar with the Tribes universe.

However, I've played TFC/TF1.5 A LOT, and I want to move on to TF2. NOW!!! This wait is getting frustrating, as you might have noticed by reading this post.

Tribes is like caffeine... or worse nicotine, once you play it you like can't get enough of it, i played TFC and well just didn't like it as much

I don't know i used to like TFC but after playing CS, TFC seems so cartoon like and annoying... it gets kind of stupid when you are stuck running around a HW guy, shooting him multiple times to the head and catch youreself looking at the clock. I hope TFC2 adds a bit more realism.

Team Fortress 2 is nothing but a cruel hoax designed to get people excited about Valve as a company and therefore influence them to buy Valve games currently on the market!!!

Thinking of upgrading from my V3 to something that supports T&L, maybe GF3, once price drops a little. Have AMD Duron, heard the the earlier GeeForce versions did not like AMD, this true??

go to EB and ask on of the guys at the counter when it is due, unless its pushed back recently they will check the comp and it should say what i saw, april 30th 2001.

Sorry dude, it wont be out then. Don't want to flame you or anything like that, but don't believe a date unless the game company actually states it. And they werent right about Q3 becuase their original date was off by a month. they just adjust it. They also said TF2 was going to be out last xmas. ??

They never told me x-mas, they said april30 2001, who cares anyway, i know they ****ed up with halflife and TF2 has been delayed before, but x-mas 2001 that's ridiculous, must be going for daikatana's record.

Well, you take into consideration they didnt show it at last years E3. They will probably show it at this years and release it this fall for the Xmas season. I am thinking april of 2002 at the latest.

and if it makes for a better game I am all for delays. I would rather have a company take its time and do it right instead of rushing a game out and it being poo.

As long as the engine isn't outdated by then.
