I had all the money that I could want
By Galen_of_Edgewood February 09, 2001, 03:01 PM

That would just be awesome. I don't know how much I would want, but it'd be a good deal, to tell you the truth.

There's lots of things that I want to do, and I just don't have enough money to do it.

I think it would get boring after a while..

So, if you could get all the money you wanted, that means if you wanted to give other people all the money they wanted, you could, right?

If you ever get it, give me about 2 or 3 billion.

I don't know - sometimes it would be great> But at other times some of the fun in buying something is knowing that you saved up for it etc. Although... that only really applies to certain things - i'd love to have enough money for a car- that'd be great... And my own computer, and games for it... And all those music CD's i keep putting off buying...In fact, can i have some of this money!

Whatever.

Tell you what, when you get bored, send me the excess...heh.

I wouldn't mind that either, but I truthfully believe that other things would give me more pleasure/happiness in the long run

I don't want anything that I don't earn! There are exceptions such as personal gifts at holiday time, etc. Anything else seems like stealing.

It would be good, except that it would take the satisfaction out of wanting. hehe. Often it is more pleasing to want than to have. it is not logical, but often true. ::nod::

If i had all the money i wanted then i would put most of it into charities and medical research for such things as cancer and aids.
I agree that some of the fun/frustration is in saving. I found The Sims much less enjoyable once i became a multi-millionaire. So i alwys got him sacked so he could start at a low wage to bring back the challenge.

So why does everyone want to be Bill Gates or one of the Sheiks in the UAE, the wealthiest country in the world according to an excellent article in the March Worth mag.? I wonder if SlipGun shares in all that wealth. Hmm.

I would love doing nothing. Ever see Office Sapce, coz I am like that guy. Doing nothing all day is great.

Exactly.. Money isn't everything as some people think. I feel bad for the people that think it is..

That being said I don't think I will have to worry about having too much of it

I recently retired and doing nothing all day is a very difficult task indeed. Now instead of people coming to me with stuff to do, I must actively search for interesting and rewarding things to do. That's why I spend a few minutes each day on this forum. Prior to retirement there was no way to do it.

With unlimited funds, the task would be just as difficult because I can already do what I want, where I want and when I want.
