Opinions required : I just bought a new machine with the works. Looking to buy some great games. What do you all think is the BEST game of 2000. Are there any MUST HAVE new games to be released soon. (AS 3D intensive as possible)

Must have, Tribes 2 is one that will be released soon. Others could be TF2 or DNF.

Definatly Unreal Tournament. Also Sacrifice, Giants, and Diablo2

I can't think of any "killer" games in 2000... a lot of pretty okey-dokey games, but nothing of stellar quality:Some 3D games to keep an eye out for, though (no promises):
Warcraft III
Return to Castle Wolfenstein
Medal of Honor: Allied Assault
Battle Realms
Halo
Empire Earth
Emperor: Battle for Dune
Oh, and Red Faction too...

Thank you all for the advice. Now, armed with advice, I will be buying games. Wish that HALO was finished though.
