Value Gamer Review
By Occidius November 28, 2000, 12:27 AM

I really like the reviews you post on the value gamer pc's. I've decided I'm going to build one exactly like the one you have shown on the website except for the video card. I'm replacing it with an Elsa Gladiac 32mg card instead. I know what I want, my next question is who would you recommend that I get it from. I thought about going to several different places, but I don't know if that would be cost effective because of all the shipping and handling charges. What should I do?
Thanks

I am doing the same. I not sure whether to go with a ElSA GTS or Radeon 32MB DDR. If ATI brought out some descent drivers for Win2000 then I would get the Radeon. I think I will go with a IBM Deskstar 30GB.

The Elsa is a better card from what I'm hearing. The drivers are top notch and with a six year warranty there is not a whole lot of things that can go wrong. ATI makes good stuff, but I don't know if I like the drivers that much. All in all I think the Elsa will be a better card. :-)

Just like to say that I also based my buying upon the value gaming system. REAL GOOD guide.

i agree that the guide is good, but i am wondering if you could recommend a board that is reliable and all, but has an agp slot in it, i noticed they only have lots of pci but not agp slot.
thnks

The Abit KT7 Raid is an awesome board and has 6 PCI, 1 AGP, and 1 ISA. The best price I have found was at www.paragoncomp.com
