Sega Corp. will reportedly stop making the Dreamcast game console by March and start developing software for competing game machines, including Playstation 2 and Game Boy. Though Sega did not confirm the report, which appeared in the newspaper Nikkei, it did say that shedding the unprofitable business was a possibility. Sega's stock price on the Tokyo exchange shot up to the limit of about $1.70 at the news. Since Sega's software prowess is highly evaluated, analysts expect the balance sheet to improve if it ditches the Dreamcast hardware operation. Sega's hardware division expects a $344 million loss this fiscal year, which ends in March. The software division anticipates profits of $196 million in fiscal 2001.

This take on the original 'Alice in Wonderland' is quite a twisted tale with many of the familiar yet peculiar images from the novel, and plenty more created by American McGee and his gang at Rogue. In this version of the story, even Alice herself is a bit twisted, and the story warps everything even further into a strange reality where nothing is as it seems. Check out the full full review of this title here at SharkyGames.
American McGee's Alice goes beyond the acid trip of the original tale and warps everything even further into a strange reality where nothing is as it seems, and visually there aren't even any straight lines to put gamers at ease. Is it any wonder that American McGee might be driven to this after being a level designer at Id Software working on endless Quake corridors, bringing the challenge level up a notch as the games progressed? After leaving Id, McGee founded Rogue Entertainment and ironically his first title utilizes the Quake engine.
