Echelon is a futuristic flight combat game that puts the player in white-knuckle combat over lush alien landscapes and towering cities as a member of an elite fighting force facing a revolution on a colonial outpost. Featuring several branching campaigns and a well-wrought storyline, the player will have the ability to advance from Lieutenant to Commander during his/her battles and assume greater control over how each mission plays out. The broad range of selectable player craft include various flight models - plane, helicopter, and gravity-defying, futuristic hovercraft - allowing for variety and challenge throughout the missions. Echelon will be available in retail stores throughout North America in March. Here are a few recently released screenshots of the game:

GameCom, Inc. announced that the company is deploying `Net GameLink' to the robust Korean cyber cafe market. Under the arrangement with Seoul-based Hi-Tech Media, Net GameLink's introduction begins with testing several strategy-type games, similar to the widely popular StarCraft Game played throughout Korea. After the testing period, the two most well received games will be selected for full-scale deployment on the kiosk systems.

Turbine Entertainment Software, Inc. and the Crossroads Network, LLC have set out to provide a helping hand from the virtual world all the way to the real world. The two companies have teamed up and are sponsoring a raffle with all proceeds set aside to benefit the Habitat for Humanity. The raffle will run from January 15th through the 28th. The cost to enter is $5(USD) per raffle ticket with no limit to the number of tickets an individual can purchase. Tickets can be purchased online via PayPal, an online fund transfer tool most commonly used on auction sites. Cashier's checks and money orders are also being accepted. Stainless Steel Studios announced that Gordon "The Old Campaigner" Farrell has joined the Empire Earth Scenario Design Strike Team. The Strike Team is a group of professional and highly talented hardcore gamers who are helping to develop, design, and create Empire Earth's single player campaigns. Gordon is currently designing an epic campaign around one of the greatest empires of the ancient world. Gordon's best known work, "The Persian Wars," is a six-campaign, 27 scenario masterpiece for Age of Empires that received rave reviews and top ratings from several publications. The entire opus was even included on PC Gamer's "Extended Play 2" compilation CD-ROM.
