Strategy First Inc. has announced that it is getting ready to ship Disciples Gold Edition at the end of February. Due to popular demand, and the shortage of Disciples Sacred Lands copies remaining in stores, Strategy First has decided to release a gold edition of Disciples that contains over 25 additional scenarios, increased multiplayer functionality and includes all updates since the original game's release. The additional scenarios are a combination of ones previously available and at least 10 entirely new maps to explore and conquer. Some of the scenarios available are single episodes, while others follow a continuous storyline that carries over from one scenario to the other.

Oni is essentially a game that's a "beat ‘em up" with a twist. How does a third person free roaming close combat action game with the odd funky gun thrown in for good measure sound? Yeah, pretty cool, huh. Now imagine a healthy dose of Manga influence thrown in for good measure. Is that drool I see on your chin? Check out full review of Oni, here at SharkyGames!

The characters have huge eyes, every single enemy is a martial arts expert and the main character, Konoko, has spiky, shiny purple hair. Yep, Oni is pure Manga alright (albeit rather westernized Manga) and what Manga-influenced game would be complete without lots and lots of kung fu action? Simply put, the combat system is by far the game's strongest point. At first, combat might seem a little awkward, but after you learn some more moves and notch up a few level completions you'll be beating up enemies left right and center like Bruce Lee in a bar fight. Konoko has some incredibly cool combat moves at her disposal, many of the more lethal ones accompanied by a loud cry of its name such as “Double Spin Kick” or “Rising Fury.” Cute huh?

Bethesda Softworks has launched a new site for its upcoming strategy/tactical combat game, Magic & Mayhem The Art of Magic. The site includes gameplay information, screenshots, artwork, and information about all of the creatures and spells available in the game, and a forum where gamers can talk to the developers and producers about the game and exchange feedback and ideas. In addition, each week the AOM site will highlight one of the creatures from the game. This week's Featured Creature is the Mountain Giant, a very powerful but somewhat dim-witted creature with a powerful ranged attack. Art of Magic is scheduled to be released by Bethesda Softworks throughout North America in mid-April.

The Diablo II mod site "Eastern Sun" will be having two tournaments next Saturday (March 3rd), featured on their virtual Open Battle.Net server. The two events are the Ironman Tournament and the Deathmatch Tournament, each with their own set of specific rules, but both involving each participating player creating new hardcore characters. The Ironman Tournament will be somewhat of a "Survivor" style event, except that rather than being voted out of the game, you'll just be out once you die. In the Deathmatch Tournament, four players build up character to level nine in a party, then duke it out in the Burial Grounds. Rules & sign up page can be found here.
