Codemasters announced that it will release Prisoner of War (Working title only) on PlayStation 2 and PC in the fall of 2001. Developed by Wide Games, Prisoner of War is the first in a series of new brands to be introduced by Codemasters to its next-generation-publishing portfolio, which includes MTV Music Generator 2 on Playstation 2. Prisoner of War captures the intrigue danger and heroism of allied escape attempts from Prisoner of War (POW) camps during World War II. The Gameplay delivers a tense 3rd person action adventure rush where bravery, action and cunning will win the day.

Set in 1941 across four German POW camps (Salonika, Stalag Luft I, Stalag Luft III and Colditz Castle), players control four Allied Officers (British, French, Dutch and US) captured by the Germans. Each character is an expert escapee specializing in different fields but all with the same goal. Using the powerful 3D Atlas engine, Prisoner of War will provide a visual feast for the player, utilizing graphics and audio features to vividly recreate the unique nerve-wracking atmosphere of the camps during day and night. Each prison camp will be modeled in unprecedented detail with several interactive characters and objects, providing an incredible level of freedom and involvement.

The in-game characters are all specialists in the key skills needed to escape from POW Camps; from athleticism, to stealth, espionage, charm, and linguistics all are vital components of an escape plan and utilized in challenging missions. The daring escapes feature dramatic action sequences, which can be of the player¹s own devising; such as an escape using explosives, or flying out of a prison camp during an air raid in an improvised glider. Even by using stealth techniques, whether in a restricted area or out after curfew, players are under constant threat of capture and punishment, keeping the suspense high at all times.

Nexon's game Nexus Kingdom of the Winds encourages further, deeper interaction between the players and the environment around them, more than ever before! Players are able to name the plants and wildlife around them with their own unique names, and give them distinctive properties. As a recent and significant example, on Wednesday, a large player-sponsored update to plant and animal life changed the nature of the game and nature IN the game. This current addition was enabled by the game's properties system that allows players to communicate desired changes to the Nexus TK team. Expanding further on this, players are able to not suggest names for the items, but the objects they name can become items that players can collect and use for a wide variety of uses -- such as to give to a fellow game player on a birthday, or a special someone on an anniversary. Experience the ever-changing world that you can effect by taking advantage of the extended trial period offered by Nexus Kingdom of the Winds, by going to http://www.nexustk.com.
