Electronic Arts has announced the release Knockout Kings 2001, for the PlayStation 2. The Knockout Kings franchise features 40 of today's top boxers and boxing legends and is known for featuring the most extensive line-up of boxing talent in the genre. Knockout Kings 2001 also has a distinguished list of exclusive boxers like Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier, Sugar Ray Leonard, Oscar De La Hoya, Lennox Lewis and Shane Mosley. Plus, this year in Knockout Kings 2001 the women move in and take center stage. Mia St. John, Christy Martin, Lucia Rijker and Regina Halmich will all be in Knockout Kings 2001 and bring a fresh new look to the game.

Buka Entertainment and MiST land today announced that they decided to put off the release date of their Tactical RPG Paradise Cracked until autumn 2001. Today the project is at its alpha stage. However it still requires additional work upon and beta-testing.
Maxim Mikhalev, Buka's VP Marketing said "We position Paradise Cracked as a hit-title and would not like to release it until its quality meets our expectations. This was the only reason that we made this decision. Buka's main principle is publishing quality titles. Best quality is what our users want and expect from our games, including Paradise Cracked. That is why we have decided not to release the game in Q2 but to give the developers some time to polish it up."

Shrapnel Games announced today the opening of their Customer Support Center. Top of the line help desk software combined with the reorganization of their customer service department will mean faster response times on customer related issues. Among the features added to customer support is support request tracking, which allows the customer to log into the Support Center and view the status of the request as the technicians work on completing the service request. Other features include automatic update e-mails sent to customers when a technician works on the request, time and date stamps that show progress and, the ability to enter emergency requests that actually page the technicians, alerting them to the emergency.

Interplay and Shiny Entertainment have announced plans to develop interactive entertainment projects, encompassing current and future interactive gaming platforms, based on upcoming sequels to Warner Bros.' Pictures blockbuster film, "The Matrix." The agreement with Warner Bros. Consumer Products encompasses current and future interactive gaming platforms.
